Homicide Detectives Investigating Triple Murder on Oak Meadow Ct

UPDATE: The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department's Violent Criminal Apprehension Team (VCAT) apprehended Lorenzo Tyrone White, Linny Marquise Barcliff and Joe Amous for the murders of Mr. & Mrs.Graves and their 4-year old child, Oznola Graves.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department Homicide Unit Detectives are conducting an investigation into the circumstances surrounding the deaths of three people found deceased at 7915 Oak Meadow Court, Apartment 22. The call for service came in at 12:21 p.m., on Tuesday, August 23, 2011.

The identities of the victims in this case are Lorenzo Fritz Graves, Cheryl Ann Graves and Oznola Ann Graves.

Steele Creek Division officers responded to a call for service to check the welfare placed by a relative of an adult male who resides at the apartment along with his wife and child. When officers arrived on scene, the door was locked. The apartment manager opened the apartment and officers located a man, woman and child deceased.

CMPD Officers pronounced the victims deceased on scene. Their manner of death has yet to be determined. The Mecklenburg County Medical Examiner’s Office will be responsible for determining the cause of death.  Crime Scene Search responded to the scene to photograph it and collect physical evidence.

Detectives with the Youth Crime, Domestic Violence Unit, along with the Mecklenburg County District Attorney’s Homicide Prosecution Team also responded to assist with the investigation.
