34 Offenders Convicted by the D.A.'s 'Crimes Against Persons Team'

Thirty-four defendants plead guilty in Mecklenburg County Superior Court before The Honorable Robert C. Ervin, Superior Court Judge. The defendants entered their guilty pleas between Monday, November 7th - Thursday, November 10, 2011.

Among those to plead guilty were:
Gennadiy Rizhkov, 31, plead guilty to second degree sex offense. Rizhkov was sentenced to 44-62 months in prison.

Renee Portillo, 22, plead guilty to taking indecent liberties with a child. Portillo was sentenced to 10-12 months in prison.

Terry Clay, 21, plead guilty to assault with a deadly weapon with intent to kill. Clay was sentenced to 26-41 months in prison.

Andre Staton, 22, plead guilty to possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. Staton was sentenced to 13-16 months in prison.

Keshia Newton, 28, plead guilty to conspiracy to commit common law robbery. Newton was sentenced to 10-12 months in prison.
