Police Release Video Surveillance to help Solve Murder


Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Homicide Unit and family members of Yama Monteith Fluker made themselves available to the media today to ask for the public's help to solve the murder of Mr. Fluker.  

Yama Fluker was murdered on January 19, 2012, in the parking lot of Al’s Mini Mart located at 2325 Toomey Avenue.  CMPD Detectives are seeking assistance from the public in generating additional information with regards to the unsolved murder case.

Detectives also released additional video surveillance of the suspect from the crime scene at the time of the shooting.  

Anyone with information about this incident is asked to call 704-432-TIPS and speak directly to a Homicide Unit Detective.  Detective King is the lead detective assigned to the case.  In addition, you may also call Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
