CMPD Westover Division officers with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department have arrested Isiah Davis for a common law robbery he committed.

On June 12, 2012, officers responded to an armed robbery call for service in the 3800 block of South Blvd. Once officers arrived on the scene they were met by the victim who stated that the suspect followed him for a distance on Weona Avenue. The victim stated the suspect produced a weapon and physically removed the victim’s wallet from his slacks before leaving the area.

Additionally, the victim managed to keep a constant eye on the suspect until police arrived. The victim stated the suspect was across the street in 4900 block of South Blvd, he pointed the suspect out to officers. Officers approached the suspect and detained him before the victim positively identified him as the robbery suspect.

Isiah Davis was arrested and charged with common law robbery. During a search incident to arrest, officers also recovered property belonging to the victim and a toy gun in the suspect’s possession. This is Davis’ third robbery arrest in Mecklenburg County dating back to 2006. The CMPD will continue to work at removing these type of chronic offenders from society before they have an opportunity to prey on any additional members of our community.
