UPDATE: The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department’s Violent Criminal Apprehension Team partnered with the FBI offices of Charlotte and St. Louis as well as the Berkley Missouri Police Department to locate a missing 13-year old female, Jacqueline Alfaro. Ms. Alfaro was last seen on May 24, 2012 in the company of an unidentified Hispanic male. The male subject was identified as Gonzalo Maceda Barrera. Mr. Barrera was located in the company of Ms. Alfaro in St. Louis, Missouri, and has been charged with 1st degree kidnapping. ----------------------

Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department Missing Persons Unit are asking for assistance from the public with a missing person investigation. On May 24, 2012 the victim, Jacqueline Alfaro, 13, was reported missing by her mother.
Miss Alfaro is believed to be in the company of an unidentified male that is approximately 30 years old.
Please review the attached photographs of both the male and the missing person.
Detectives are asking anyone that can identify the male subject or who has seen the missing person to please call 911 or Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
