A man was arrested early this morning after a high-speed chase on I-77 in northern Mecklenburg with speeds of 100mph.
The N.C. Highway Patrol attempted to pull over the motorcyclist, but the man sped away from authorities. Troopers pursue the man for a while and decided to stop the chase when the driver reached speeds of 100mph.
Troopers got assistance from a helicopter that was in the area that pointed the man's location to the Highway Patrol. The motorcyclist was arrested shortly when troopers found the man at a parking lot.
