NW Charlotte Wells Fargo Robbed Again

For the third time in 5 weeks, the Wells Fargo bank on Couloak Drive was robbed by a man wielding a firearm. The robbery occurred about 3:00 in the afternoon of Friday, August 31.

That's when the suspect, whom police are attempting to locate, entered the bank and displayed a pistol. The robber is described as a black male approximately 40 years of age. At the time of the robbery, the he was wearing artificial facial hair in the form of a gray mustache and beard as a disguise. The suspect was also wearing blue jeans, a striped shirt, and a black hat.

The same Wells Fargo branch, which sits off nt , was also robbed one month earlier on July 31 and the week prior to that on July 26. The suspect in the July 26 robbery has been apprehended by CMPD and identified as Lamont Stitt, 42. Authorities are still trying to locate the suspect in the July 31 robbery.
