Union County Felon Kills Woman in Texas

The murder of Texas Real Estate Agent Sarah Anne Walker hit the mass media airwaves shortly after she was killed. Sarah Walker, 40, (L) was stabbed to death 27 times while she was inside a model home she was showing to prospective home-buyers.

The man McKinney, TX police arrested today- Kosoul Chanthakoummane, 25, was convicted for robbery and kidnapping 9 years ago in Union County, NC.


According to 6NEWS, in July of 1997, Union County police arrested Chanthakoummane, who was living in Charlotte at the time, and two other teens for kidnapping, assaulting and terrorizing two elderly people in Weddington, NC, when they tied them up and robbed them. The teens were arrested after they were pulled over, in the victim's car, for speeding and running away from police.

Police suspected all three of the teens of being members of an Asian gang because of their tattoos. Chanthakoummane (R) served eight years in prison for the crime and was released in February, according to his NC Department of Corrections Record. Chanthakoummane is charged with murder and his bond was set at $1 million.
