Police arrested two teens today at North Mecklenburg High School for having a gun on campus. School resource officers received an anonymous tip that Quintin Withers (Left) and Christoper Fonseca (below) both 18, had a gun on campus.Police searched Withers' car and they found a .32-caliber pistol. Both teens were arrested and taken to the Mecklenburg County jail. They were charged with possession of a gun on educational property.
I am sure it wasn't any surprise to CMS officials that Fonesca was arrested! This is his second arrest this year for having a weapon at school. His first arrest was in May. Fonesca's first brush with the law was in 2004, when Fonesca was only 16 years old. He was charged with breaking and entering, breaking into a coin/currency machine and larceny.
