Jose Francisco Hernandez (R) stabbed his girlfriend on New Years Day in the apartment they shared on Central Avenue. The victim was transported to CMC with life threatening injuries.Yesterday, the victim died from the injuries she sustained in the assault. Hernandez was already in the Mecklenburg-County Jail on assault charges but now he is charged with murder.
