Young Woman's Death Ruled a Homicide

On Friday February 9th, Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Officers responded to 3411 Burkland Drive in reference to a family member finding Tasia Lynnetta Boler, 21, deceased in her apartment. In addition to finding Ms. Boler, police found her three year daughter in the residence unharmed.

Police announced today that the Medical Examiner conducted an autopsy and her death is ruled a Homicide. Police are not saying how she died or if they have any suspects at this time, however, family members said they believe she was strangled. (Photo: WSOC-TV)

Witnesses said Tasia's back door was open slightly and she was lying on the bathroom floor- as if she'd just stepped out of the shower. Her daughter told them, "I can't wake Mommy up.” If you have any information, please contact Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
