The CMPD Homicide Cold Case Unit arrested 33-year old Mandrey Davis in connection with the 1999 murder of 32-year old Kiawana Grace.On May 11, 1999, CMPD Officers responded to Hilo Drive in reference to a possible deceased person. Upon arriving on the scene, officers found the body of Kiawana Grace inside her apartment. The victim sustained a fatal gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.
On December 6, 2007, Davis was arrested at his residence on Rozzelles Ferry Rd. He is charged with Murder and Possession of Firearm by Convicted Felon.
Since it began in 2003, the Cold Case Unit has made 17 arrests and cleared 25 homicide cases.
