Heroin Drug Deal Ends in Murder on Central Ave

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department Homicide Unit Detectives are investigating a stabbing that occurred at 4945 Central Avenue, which left one person deceased. The victim has been identified as Oscar Alvarado Chavez.

Shortly after 12:00 p.m. on August 22, 2010, Eastway Division officers responded to a call for service in reference to an assault with a deadly weapon.

The investigation revealed that the victim met with the suspects to sell them heroin. The suspects, Danielle Alexandria Holmes and Jonathan Tyler Fitzgerald robbed and stabbed the victim during the drug transaction.

When CMPD Officers arrived, they located the victim in a vehicle suffering from apparent stab wounds. The victim was pronounced deceased on scene by Medic. B

Based on initial witness statements, the suspects arrived in a white Chevrolet Camaro and were seen getting into in the victim’s vehicle, which is a green Honda Accord. An altercation ensued and a short time later, the white male and white female suspects were seen running from the victim’s vehicle and left the scene in the white Chevrolet Camaro, with North Carolina tag ZVE-4763.
