Charlotte-Mecklenburg Homicide Unit Detectives are currently conducting an investigation into a shooting that occurred in the North Tryon Division at the 432 Lambeth Drive. The call for service was reported at 8:46 p.m., on February 23, 2012. The victim has been identified, pending family notification, his name will be released.
North Tryon Division officers responded to Lambeth Drive to investigate a shots fired call for service. When officers arrived on scene, they located a male subject suffering from an apparent gunshot wound. Medic arrived on scene and pronounced the victim deceased. Based on initial statements, residents heard a gunshot and located the subject.
Crime Scene Search responded to the call for service to process and collect physical evidence. The ADW Unit, Gang Unit, K-9 Unit along with representatives of the Mecklenburg County District Attorney’s Homicide Prosecution Team responded to the scene as well.
