It looks like we have our very own "Debra Lafave" right here in Charlotte! Hopefully Charlotte will not take the double standard approach and she will be punished for her crime.

Why is it that male teachers who have sex with their female students are punished but the women who do the same thing are not? As a woman, this angers me. Do the crime, do the time... that is my motto! No person should get off because they are "pretty" or because the boy won't testify in court. Why should he have to? Why is it that victims always loose?

Anyway...

News 14 Carolina is reporting that a teacher at E.E. Waddell High School has resigned in the wake of allegations that she had sexual relations with a student.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Schools officials said the teacher was suspended Wednesday, and then resigned later the same day. Charlotte-Mecklenburg police confirmed that they are investigating the case.

Police say the male student, who is 18 years old, admitted to having a sexual relationship with the teacher. The woman’s name has not been released. Obviously, it is against the law for a teacher to have a sexual relationship with a student, regardless of the student’s age.
