2 Shot in Convenience Store Robbery

I am worried about the amount of convenience store robberies that are occuring in Charlotte. Even worse, they all involve shootings or violence of some sort on the employees and innocent bystanders. What the heck is wrong with people?? Why do they think they don't have to work for a living like the rest of us and they can just "take" what they want by violence?

On Saturday two Charlotte convenience store workers were shot during an armed robbery. The shootings occured at the MJ Food Mart on the 3000th block of Monroe Road. The two workers were taken to the hospital with life-threatening injuries around 9:30pm.

According to a WBTV article, police said a man entered the MJ Food Mart on the 3000th block of Monroe Rd and demanded money from the owner, 47-year-old Jagdish Panda. The man shot Panda as he left the store. A second victim was shot in the parking lot. Police say the robber shot Jeffery Patterson as he walked towards the food mart. Patterson was treated and released.
