Shots Fired at Basketball Court

This is really scary! Go out for a nice game of basketball at a school and get shot at! That is what happened on Sunday afternoon in Southeast Charlotte. Three men in a grey Pontiac Bonneville opened fire on a group of people playing basketball.

Witnesses said the three men drove up and started firing a weapon at about 15 to 20 people who were on the Idlewild Elementary School basketball court located on Idlewild Road. The shooting happened right after 5 p.m.

The suspects were in a grey Pontiac Bonneville. One man was shot in the lower leg, but his injuries are not life-threatening.
