73-year-old Ida Mae Harris is accused of running a crack house in north Charlotte. Police raided her home this weekend and seized 14.7 grams of drugs and a large amount of cash. Police say that for months, they watched people come and go from the Duncan Avenue residence. Police said she tried to conceal some of the drugs in her own body cavity.Police said they know Harris well. Last spring, she was charged with dealing cocaine from her home. That charge was dropped, though.
Harris faces two felony drug charges. Harris appeared in court Monday afternoon and posted $15,000 bail. She will be represented by a public defender.Source: News 14 Carolina
