Violent Home Invasion & Robbery

A home invasion occurred today- just after midnight on City View Drive. Two armed suspects broke into a house and cornered the two men and two women inside, all in their late teens and early 20s.

One suspect was armed with a knife and the other had a gun when they broke in. The two suspects beat the men and sexually assaulted the women. Allegedly, they also demanded some items from in the home but police have not said what those items are.

According to
WCNC, police said a shot was fired inside the house. They said the suspects then forced the victims into two of the victims cars so the suspects could drive them to the nearest ATM. They brought the victims to an ATM on Conference Drive and the suspects allegedly forced the victims to withdraw money for them. Sometime during the drive to the ATM, another shot was fired inside the car, according to police. No one was hit either time the gun went off.

After the robbers got the money, the victims were dropped off near their neighborhood and the suspects got away in the stolen vehicles, according to police.
