Armed Robbers Captured!

UPDATE: 2-26-07: McGriff pled guilty to one count of armed robbery. He was sentenced to 1 1/2 years to 2 1/2 years in prison. Gause is still awaiting trial.

On Monday afternoon, police captured two robbery suspects after a reported armed robbery on the 2300 block of Double Oaks Road. The suspects drove off in a green car with license plates that police determined had been stolen.

Officers spotted the suspects and gave chase. Police captured the suspects George Gause, 19, (R) and Dominique McGriff,17. (L)

Gause and McGriff are charged with two counts of armed robbery with a dangerous weapon. Gauze also faces charges of possession of stolen property and several traffic offenses.

The victims told police they were returning home from the laundromat when they were approached by two suspects who pointed a gun at them and demanded money.
