Here are some of Federal convictions that were handed down on Thursday:
• Aaron Wylie, 23, of Charlotte, was found guilty in a series of hotel armed robberies in December 2003 in Charlotte. He was convicted on several robbery and firearms charges and faces a minimum of 57 years in prison. A sentencing date has not been set.
• A Union County man, Dennis Connell, 45, of Monroe, was sentenced to 10 years in prison on a child pornography charge. Connell will have to register as a sex offender when he is released from prison.
• Charles Alexander Mills, 65, of Granbury, Texas, was charged in an alleged Internet sex case. Prosecutors say Mills traveled earlier this month from Texas to Charlotte, to have sex with a minor whom he had contacted on the Internet. But, prosecutors say, the "minor" actually was an undercover federal agent.
• Kevin Alan Hudson, 44, of Aberdeen, Wash., was charged on eight counts of distributing child pornography. Prosecutors say he shipped pornographic video files on the Internet several times in May. Hudson was arrested today in WA. Here is a link to an article about the arrest.
