Four people suffered minor injuries early Saturday morning in a shooting in east Charlotte. The four were shot shortly before 2 a.m. in the 3900 block of Piney Grove Road. (That is off Idlewild Road, a short distance east of W.T. Harris Boulevard)
According to police, the victims were in a vehicle, when another car stopped in front of them. Someone from the other car fired at least one shot into the victims' vehicle. The four were hit in the arm, wrist and back. Police say none of the injuries are life-threatening, and they are investigating the case.
