Community Takes Action

I always like to hear about communities coming together to fight crime. A neighborhood watch program is a great crime deterrent. Please click here to see the neighborhood community watches in Charlotte, NC.

Members of a north Charlotte neighborhood said Saturday night they're tired of people breaking into their homes! Police said burglars have hit nine homes in the Allen Hills Neighborhood so far this year. The latest happened Friday night. No one was home. Police told neighbors they think robbers are checking out homes before they break into them. "We will catch them," said neighborhood crime watch president Sylvia Cannon. "Before this is over, we will catch them."

A neighborhood meeting is set for Tuesday night at 7 p.m. at the Christian Baptist Church on the corner of Allen Road South and Allen Road East. Source:
