CMPD say they have captured two men who robbed at least two Jack in the Box restaurants by climbing through the drive-through window. Michael Dwayne Brown, 21, (Top) and Preston Demontry Tate, 18, (Bottom) are in the Mecklenburg County Jail charged with two counts of armed robbery.
Police said Tate climbed through the drive-through window of a Jack in the Box on South Tryon Street in Charlotte, NC on July 3rd and then again at another Jack in the Box in Gastonia on July 9th.
The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department and Gastonia Police Department worked together to identify the suspects.
Investigators are looking into similar armed robberies at area restaurants to see if Tate and Brown can be connected to them. Police say further charges could be levied against the suspects. Source: WSOC-TV
