A Charlotte, NC man charged with sexual exploitation of children was sentenced yesterday to 9 years in federal prison. Derek Dyda, 37, entered a guilty plea in April in connection to allegations of possessing and distributing child pornography. The U.S. attorney's office says Dyda had a computer containing images of minors engaging in sexually explicit conduct.Following his prison term, Dyda faces a life term of supervised release.
