Police said they arrested an armed robbery suspect and were seeking two others Thursday after a holdup at a Concord Waffle House started a police chase that ended in northwest Charlotte. Concord Police arrested Raymond James Fisher, 20, (R) of Charlotte, charged him with armed robbery and possession of a firearm by a felon and jailed him on $200,000 bond.
Police say an armed man robbed a Waffle House restaurant on N.C. 73 about 2 a.m. Thursday morning. Police saw the getaway car near southbound Interstate 85 and chased it into Charlotte. The getaway car's driver rammed a patrol car near the intersection of Beatties Ford Road at Hildebrand Street when police cars tried to close in, officers said. The officers were not injured.
Police say they captured the driver a few minutes later, but two other suspects got away. Concord police charged Fisher with the Waffle House robbery and a Tuesday armed robbery at the Steak and Shake on Spider Drive in Concord. Source: The Charlotte Observer
