5 Arrested After Police Chase

Police have charged four teenagers and a 26-year-old man in connection with an auto theft and pursuit in Concord, NC. Three of the suspects charged are students who are enrolled in Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools.

An off-duty police officer saw the five men at Concord Mills Mall and he thought they were acting suspicious. They gathered near a Honda in the parking lot. When the suspects entered the mall, the officer noticed the ignition had been tampered with.

When police confronted the group,
David Guillen (16) and Miguel Garza (26) drove off, leading police on a pursuit into Charlotte. The other three suspects are identified as Fermin Garza (16), Gabriel Espinal (16)and Joaquin Rios (17). They attend Garinger High School, West Mecklenburg High School and Vance High School, respectively. Source: WBTV
