CMPD police are investigating three incidents that happened tonight where shots were fired at occupied homes in Charlotte. They do not believe the shootings are connected.
- The 1st shooting occurred around 4 pm, in southwest Charlotte at 432 Fairwood Avenue. Police later found the suspects vehicle abandoned in the area and the vehicle was reported as stolen.
- The 2nd shooting occurred shortly after 4pm, southwest Charlotte at 362 Sleepy Hollow Drive. Police were called to this location after someone shot into an occupied home, but no one was injured. Police think the suspect was driving a black-colored Ford Focus.
- The 3rd shooting happened around 9 pm, when police responded to a call at 7801 Cloughy Circle. The homeowner told police someone fired several shots into her home. No one was injured.
