Around 6:30 this morning, shots were reportedly fired at Charlotte-Mecklenburg school bus #1837. The incident happened at 5700 Leake St, near the intersection of Leake Street and West Boulevard.

The 54 year old bus driver told police someone shot a BB or pellet gun at the bus driver's window- breaking two windows and hitting the bus driver with shards of glass. There were three Sharon Elementary School students on the bus but thankfully no injuries were reported.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Officers think a 13-year-old male fired a BB gun at the bus but police have not charged him. Police do not think the teenager was targeting anyone on the bus. Police are still investigating.
