Michele Taylor, 34, (Left) and her 16-year-old daughter, Demtreia Taylor (Right) were arrested yesterday at West Charlotte high school after officers believe they were planning to attack another student. Michele Taylor, her daughter Demtreia and five or six of her relatives went to the campus of West Charlotte High School to defend her son, according to officers.
Police told 6NEWS the situation is very similar to what happened at East Mecklenburg High School a couple of weeks ago- when a parent walked into a classroom and started a fight.Taylor’s son at West Charlotte High School was being picked on and she went to school Monday to handle it but she didn’t get past the office. Principal John Modest said Taylor and other relatives went to the office because they were upset. “They didn’t go to the classroom and disrupt the learning environment,” he said. Modest said the system worked and at no time was any student in any danger.
The other people who went on campus with Taylor were also family members. They remained calm enough and were not arrested. Taylor and her daughter were charged with communicating threats and disorderly conduct. Source: 6NEWS
