Officers from CMPD, NC State Highway Patrol and DMV conducted a sting called "Operation Enjoy the Ride" to arrest numerous individuals wanted for pre-arranged speed competition, stolen car parts and outstanding warrants. The sting operation took place at the Stonecrest Shopping Center on Rea Road @ I-485.
Police announced the results of Saturday's sting operation: 11 arrests, 30 warrants served & 17 vehicles were seized. 6 of the vehicles seized had stolen parts. Photographer Jonathan Jones was on scene to provide us with these photos from the bust:
