CMPD's Drug Dealer Round-Up

CMPD announced today they are working to crackdown on the drug activity and drug sales in the uptown area. CMPD officials say they are serving warrants on over forty individuals with a combined total of more than 130 drug related charges.

Today’s round-up is the result of an 8-week operation targeting street level drug dealers within the Metro Division. The campaign, with support from the Vice and Narcotics Bureau, West Service Area Crime Reduction Unit and the Mecklenburg County District Attorney’s Office, centered on locations designated by community complaints, police-related calls for service and officers’ observations.
