Construction Flagman Shot

WSOC-TV reported a construction worker was shot this morning around 9am on Carriage Oaks Drive. The victim was standing in the road directing traffic for a paving job when a man approached him and asked for money. The flagman said he didn't have any money so the suspect shot him in the groin and drove off.

Police say the shooter is a black man with curly hair who was wearing a white T-shirt. They say he was driving a 2003 Dodge Caravan that was light blue with NC license plate VZN-5178. Call CrimeStoppers with information at 704-334-1600.
