Police Arrest Bank Robber

On June 5, 2007, the Wachovia Bank located on Park Road was robbed by a lone black male subject. The man entered the bank waiving a gun and forced all the employees and customers to lay on the ground while he took cash. (Info)

Today, police announced they arrested the suspected bank robber, 24-year old Elliot Clinton. (Shown Right)

Elliot Clinton is charged with robbery using a dangerous weapon for the bank robbery. In addition, he is charged with robbery from person because he stole a vehicle. Police have not said if he stole the car before or after the bank robbery.

Surprisingly, Elliot Clinton doesn't have a long rap sheet. In 2000, he was convicted of making a bomb threat and received probation. In the past three years, Clinton has been arrested twice in Mecklenburg County on misdemeanor charges. Clinton's bail is set at $125,700.
