Last Tuesday, the Union County Sheriff’s Office received a report from CMC-Charlotte in reference to a possible child abuse case involving a 37-day old baby.Police say the parents brought their baby to the hospital and a physician determined the infant was a victim of 'shaken baby syndrome.' Union County Detectives immediately began their investigation and determined charges should be filed against the baby's father.
Timmy Ray Lovings Jr, 18, is charged with one count of attempted murder and one count of Felonious child abuse inflicting serious injury.
