Early this morning, the Charlotte Fire Department responded to the Robinsdale Apartments in reference to an apartment fire. Robinsdale is one of the Charlotte Housing Authority's subsidized housing complexes, located on Margie Ann Drive.
Upon arrival, firefighters learned four children were left inside the apartment unattended and started the fire. Thankfully, firefighters were able to contain the fire and nobody was hurt.
Police arrested the children's mother, 30-year old Caprice Roynelle Neely and charged her with five counts of neglecting a juvenile. Her bond was set at $2,500. Police contacted the Department of Social Services but it is unknown if they took the children.
