Alphonso Ford, 16, (Top) and Tadrey Springs, 16, (Bottom) were arrested today after they robbed several people and led police on a chase before they were apprehended and arrested.Police say Ford and Springs began their crime spree around 10:20 am, when they robbed several people at gunpoint at the North Pointe Apartments, located on Countryside Drive.
Fifteen minutes later, Ford and Springs robbed another victim on West Arrowhead Dr.
Shortly after the robberies, a police officer spotted a vehicle matching the description of the suspect's vehicle. The officer attempted to stop the vehicle but the driver sped away at a high rate of speed.
After a short chase, the suspect driver hit a guardrail near the intersection of Freedom Drive and Morehead Street. The two robbery suspects jumped from the car and ran, however, officers chased them into the woods and apprehended them.
The suspects are only sixteen but they both have prior arrest records.
