Couple Arrested After Robbing & Stabbing Four Men

Yesterday afternoon, CMPD Officers arrested and charged a couple after they went on a robbery spree targeting Hispanics. The duo robbed five people and stabbed four of the five robbery victims. All of the victims are expected to be okay.

Police say Sheldon Straite and Anitra Sadler Friday are responsible for the following robberies:

11:56 am: A man was armed with a knife and robbed a Hispanic male selling ice cream with a push cart on Blackhawk Lane. The victim said a woman was in the getaway car during the robbery.

12:33 pm: A victim was robbed and stabbed in the parking lot of a bank on Central Avenue. The victim described the robbers as a black male and black female.

12:51 pm: A Hispanic male was stabbed in the stomach multiple times after being robbed by a man outside a Laundromat on Morningside Dr. The robber was seen leaving the area with a woman in the getaway car.

1:15 pm: A Hispanic male pushing an ice cream cart was robbed and stabbed by a man on Conway Avenue. The assailants were described as a thin black man and a heavy-set black woman with long dreadlocks. Both suspects were wearing white T-shirts.

1:54 pm: A Hispanic male pushing an ice cream cart was stabbed on Archdale Drive by a man who fled in a car driven by a woman. The man was described as thin and was wearing a white T-shirt and dark sunglasses.

2:02 pm: CMPD Officers stop suspects at the intersection of Independence Blvd & Idlewild Rd. The two were transported to HQ for questioning and later charged with the robberies.
