Child Sexually Assaulted in Concord’s Wal-Mart Restroom

UPDATE: Police arrested Dennis Erik Becker (R) and charged him with first degree statutory sex offense and second degree sexual offense. He is currently in the Cabarrus County Jail with a $1 Million dollar bond.
The Concord Police Department’s Criminal Investigation Division is seeking the identity of a man who sexually assaulted a juvenile male inside a Wal-Mart Store men’s restroom located at 2420 Supercenter Drive in Concord.
This assault occurred on Sunday, August 10th around 7:15 p.m. The child was in a stall when an adult male crawled under the door and made inappropriate contact with the child. The child was not physically injured.


Photos above depict two white males arriving in a purple colored Honda Odyssey van. The suspect was accompanied by another white male in the photographs. The suspect is described as being white male, 40 to 45 years of age, 5’10” to 6’ tall, weighing 220 to 240 pounds, wearing a black colored ball cap with a white colored Celtic cross emblem on the front of the ball cap.
He is also wearing a burgundy polo styled shirt, black dress pants and tan colored shoes. After entering the store, the suspect described above went to the restroom and the other male wearing the flowered shirt began shopping. At this time, we do not believe that the male wearing the flowered shirt was involved in the incident.
