At approximately 1:30 pm, the Banco de la Gente located at 6300 South Blvd. was robbed by four males. A witness observed a burgundy colored Honda Accord flee the scene at which time the witness followed the vehicle.The witness advised that the suspects switched vehicles at the Grande Oaks Apartments located on Wisteria Dr. and jumped into a blue Mercury Marquis. An on-duty police officer was en route to check on a bank in his response area when he spotted the suspect vehicle traveling on Arrowood Rd.
The suspect vehicle ran off the road and into a ditch near the intersection of Arrowood Rd. and Windsong Dr. All of the occupants inside the vehicle ran from the vehicle and were subsequently apprehended by police.
All suspects are in police custody at this time and have been transported to Police headquarters where they are being interviewed by Robbery detectives.
