Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department Homicide Detectives are investigating the death of 43-year old Brent Raynard Weaver. Mr. Weaver’s body was discovered at 188 Tyvola Drive on Sunday, September 21st at 6:15 am.According to CMPD, Westover Division officers responded to a call in reference to a person lying on the ground not moving. Upon arrival, officers found the victim lying on the sidewalk deceased from a stab wound.
Mr. Weaver was pronounced deceased on scene by MEDIC. Westover Division officers roped off the crime scene and informed the Homicide Unit. Homicide Detectives canvassed the neighborhood for anyone with information about the incident and Crime Scene Search units processed the crime scene for physical evidence.
Detectives are working to identify the individual(s) involved in the incident and are continuing to process the scene for physical evidence.
