Man Makes Silent Demand During Bank Robbery

The Safe Streets Task Force is seeking the public’s help in identifying a bank robber who demanded money from tellers at the BB&T at 8558 University City Boulevard just before ten ‘o’clock this morning.

Witnesses in the bank say he’s a white man, in his mid 40’s, about 6 feet tall and weighs about 200 to 220 pounds. He was wearing a yellow straw hat, and had beard stubble on his face. He gave the teller a black bag with a note attached demanding money. No customers were in the bank at the time of the robbery. No weapon was shown.

Anyone with information is asked to call the Charlotte Division of the FBI at 704-377-9200 or CrimeStoppers at 704-334-1600.
