Pregnant 15-Year old Teen Shot & Killed at Bus Stop

Royce Mitchell
UPDATE II:   A Federal appeals court has upheld a decision to send Royce Mitchell back to prison for 2 1/2 years because his sexual relationship with Tiffany Wright violated the terms of his 2007 release from Federal prison.

Charlotte-Mecklenburg police have not charged anyone in Tiffany's murder and the D.A.'s Office dismissed all sex charges against Mitchell when the paternity test of the baby proved Mitchell was not the father of Tiffany Wright's child.

Mitchell was sentenced in 2002 in New York to six years in prison after pleading guilty to his role in drug trafficking conspiracy.  When he was released from federal prison in 2007, he was placed on four years of supervision and moved to Charlotte.

UPDATE I:  Although he has not been charged with murder, the main suspect in Tiffany Wright's murder is her adoptive brother 36-year old Royce Anthony Mitchell.  He was arrested today and charged with statutory rape and indecent liberties with a minor after Wright told Detectives she had a consensual sexual relationship with Mitchell and she believed he was the father of her unborn child.
