Eleven Year Old Bystander Shot in West Charlotte

On May 8th, CMPD Officers responded to a shooting around 8pm near the intersection of Caronia Street and Ross Avenue.  An 11-year old girl was caught in the crossfire and took a bullet to the leg. She was transported to CMC with non-life threatening injuries.

CMPD Officers and Gang Unit detectives investigated the incident.  CMPD said Officers had only a vague description of the four men suspected in the shooting.  If you have any information, please contact Crime Stoppers at 704-334-1600.
