Robbery Suspect Apprehended in Eastway Division

On July 26, 2011, the CMPD Eastway Division Focused Mission Team (FMT) Officers apprehended and arrested Gregory Jeter Brewton for 2 counts of Robbery with a Dangerous Weapon, Breaking and Entering a Motor Vehicle, Larceny of Firearm, and Possession of Stolen Firearm and Possession of Firearm by Felon.

Eastway’s FMT members were conducting routine patrol when they came upon two subjects running from a vehicle. Upon further investigation, Mr. Brewton was seen getting out of the vehicle as well. The previous subjects advised officers they were just robbed by Mr. Brewton. All three subjects were taken to the Law Enforcement Center for questioning and Mr. Brewton was charged and taken to the Mecklenburg County Sheriff’s Office.
