Man Sentenced to 35 Years in Prison for Murder

Jamarr Tremayne Springs, 29, plead guilty to the murder of Pamela Garmon and other related charges. The Honorable F. Lane Williamson, Superior Court Judge, imposed a consecutive sentence that totals 425 to 580 months (35-48 years) in prison.

Ms. Garmon was shot and killed by Springs on December 1, 2010 at approximately 10:30 pm in a home they shared.  Jamarr Springs chased Ms. Garmon through their home shooting at her as many as twenty times with an assault rifle. Ms. Garmon died as a result of multiple gunshot wounds.

After killing Ms. Garmon, Springs fled to North Lake Mall where he shot at two mall patrons and kidnapped a third who was later released unharmed.
