CMPD Arrest Couple for Shooting & Robbery at Kimmerly Glen Apartment Complex

Holder
Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department have arrested Adrian Jones and Sharmaine Holder for their involvement in an armed robbery that was reported on May 27, 2012.

On May 27, 2012, at approximately 8:00 p.m., Hickory Grove Division patrol officers responded to a call of a person shot on Kimmerly Glen Apartments. When officers arrived they discovered the victim lying in a breezeway of the apartment complex suffering from a gunshot wound to his leg.

The victim stated he was approached by Holder, who produced a handgun, shot the victim, and removed the victim’s cash before the suspect drove way in a burgundy vehicle. With the assistance of witnesses, officers were later able to locate the suspect and vehicle a short time later in the 8600 block of Wandering Creek Way. Several witnesses later positively identified Jones as the robbery suspect.

Jones
Additionally, detectives determined that Shermaine Holder was the registered owner of the vehicle Jones used in the commission of the robbery and that she too was involved in the incident. Both suspects were arrested and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon, conspiracy, and assault with a deadly weapon. The victim was treated and released from the hospital for his non-life threatening injuries.

The information witnesses gave to police was critical in assisting with arrest of these dangerous individuals. Had it not been for cooperative witnesses willing to get involved, these two suspects would likely still be free to victimize additional members of our community.
