Two Men Arrested for Robbing Woman in Apartment Complex Parking Lot

Detectives with the Charlotte-Mecklenburg Police Department have arrested Jamarcus Deanta Archer and Chavious Clyburn for an armed robbery they committed.

On May 7, 2012, at approximately 2:00 a.m., CMPD Hickory Grove Division patrol officers responded to a robbery call for service in the 7200 Lake Point Dr. The female victim stated that when she returned home from work she was approached by the two suspects in the apartment complex parking lot.

The victim stated one of the suspects produced a handgun and that the suspects demanded her money. The victim complied and the suspects got into a white pickup truck and left the area. The victim called 911 and gave a detailed description of the suspects, the vehicle they were traveling in, and their direction of travel.
Clyburn

A short time later a CMPD North Tryon Division officer observed a vehicle matching the description of the one the suspects were occupying at the corner of Great Wagon Rd. and Shamrock Dr. The officer conducted a vehicle stop and detained the occupants. The victim was transported to the scene of the vehicle stop and positively identified Archer and Clyburn as the men who robbed her.

Both suspects were arrested and charged with robbery with a dangerous weapon and conspiracy.
