Michael Harvey Sentenced to 7-9 Years in Prison for Valerie Hamilton's Death

On Friday afternoon,  Michael Neal Harvey, 36, pled guilty to involuntary manslaughter, being a habitual felon and concealing a death in the Mecklenburg County courthouse.

Valerie Hamilton, the daughter of former Concord Police Chief Merl Hamilton, left the Thomas Street Tavern in Plaza Midwood with Harvey on September 15, 2010.  Hamilton was found dead and wrapped up in a storage unit along Monroe Road a few days after Valerie was reported missing.  (READ MORE)

Harvey was sentenced to 87-114 months in prison. (7-9 1/2 years)
