An accident involving a pedestrian occurred this morning in Steele Creek Wednesday morning just after 8:00.
A pedestrian was struck at the intersection of Youngblood Road and Zoar Road, which sent the victim to Carolinas Medical Center with life-threatening injuries.
CMPD has yet to release the identities of the pedestrian or the driver, which was ticketed for an unsafe movement.
This is roughly the 20th car accident involving a pedestrian in Charlotte this year.
